A Tool for Success
I’d recommend to every leader, at whatever level, and anyone who aspires to become one, to set aside one hour a day to meditate. Build it in to your work day, if you can. Let your employees know what you are doing — setting aside time to contemplate how to do a better job, to gain insights and ideas about how to run your business, or country, better. Then sit down with a journal or pad of paper before you. Pray first to help you connect with your Higher Source, whatever you wish to call it. God will know who you mean. After praying, focus on your breathing to keep your mind off your thoughts and to relax. Eventually, you will be able to fall into the Silence, which is very soothing and very nurturing. Sometimes you will hear messages, or insights or wisdom will just pop into your head. Sometimes you’ll get a feeling about what you should do in a particular situation. The Universe has many ways to communicate with us, and we are all different. Write down messages and insights so you won’t forget. Write down the steps you are given to take. Write down your impressions and gut feelings without analyzing them. Your mind will be tempted to discount them, especially if this is new to you or it seems to suggest the opposite of what seems logical. God does not work in logic. God transcends it. Keep the pages. Keep them away from others who may not be supportive of these new ideas or messages. When you read them back later, you may be tempted to discount them because they don’t seem right to you. Don’t. It is your ego-mind trying to control you, to dominate your thinking. You may not want to act on everything immediately. You may need to bask in this new awareness until you feel comfortable implementing it. That’s all right. God knows that. Do what feels right to you when it feels right to do it. That, too, is the Universe guiding you. After awhile, you’ll gain confidence in yourself and your Higher Power, and you’ll notice how much more smoothly things are going. Continue to meditate daily, even on weekends and even on vacations. Always carry your journal or pen and paper. Keep them available at night, too, because sometimes God will wake you up in the middle of the night to give you important messages, because you’re less distracted then and it may be easier to get through to you. If that happens, just relax, write the messages down so you’ll remember them in the morning and go back to sleep, calmly assured that God is working with you in your life to create peace, harmony and your heart’s content. You can create anything with God guiding you, much more than your ego-self could ever create alone. And you will enjoy the process. It is a gift from the Universe to help you create joy in your life. Be grateful, praise God, and all is well in your world.
Faith, patience and acceptance. This, too, will create miracles. Faith in God to have your best interests at heart, patience with His Timetable, and acceptance of your present circumstances with as much serenity as possible. And simplify in all areas of your life. This, too, will help change lives.
