Corporations have the legal status of persons.  How and why did that happen?  A company is not a person, bound by time and space to one location and a single lifetime.  A corporation can wield tremendous abusive power, the power of millions of people into a single entity.  That legal status must be ruptured to level the playing field for the individuals who make up America and because corporations are too powerful politically.

Why does the pharmaceutical industry have carte blanche in America?  Why are there no restrictions on their profits and they export drugs to Canada and Americans order them back, cheaper than they can buy at home?  I know the Canadian government subsidizes drugs, but Americans are being exploited.  The millions of elderly people on fixed incomes or the uninsured have to decide what is more important, sometimes, food or their necessary medication.  Why didn’t the recent Medicare overhaul stipulate profit margins or group discounts negotiated by our Government?  It is another example of an industry that is too politically powerful to the detriment of our country.

Our Government is influenced too much by Big Business.  It’s time for reform.

Some people think that money is the most important thing in the world.  And it’s not.  It’s important, of course, for food, clothing and shelter.  For education, travel, and culture.  For philanthropy and to contribute to charity.  But it’s not the most important thing.  Integrity is.  That and faith in God will see one through every adversity — even mental hospitals and thoughts of suicide.  Everything.  Integrity and a faith in God will lead you to where you need to be.  One step at a time.  One day at a time.  Money and fame is irrelevant at the cost of one’s soul.

What does it mean to grow up?  To really, finally, mature?  To make the wisest choices for oneself.  To make choices concerned for the welfare of others and the generations to come.  To be kind, yet powerful and bold.  To know the difference between leadership and being controlling, dominating and manipulative.  To let go and let God, after you’ve done everything you can.  To work hard, play, relax and laugh.  To remember the environment and make wise choices for her and posterity as well.  To keep learning and growing and to stop wanting to keep up with the Joneses.  To be true to yourself and the longings of your heart, regardless of what society says.  To be flexible and loving and kind.  Oh, I’ve already said that.  Yes, it means all this and more to grow up, and age is irrelevant.

From each day, “good,” or “bad,” let me glean a kernel of something to remember.  A lesson, a fond memory, an awareness or insight of something not previously recognized.  Let me learn something from each day, if only to learn to do things differently next time.  For I am exchanging a day of my life for today, this one day, and all the many others to follow.  So let me learn my lesson well, in Love and Light, making friends and fond memories along the way.  And let me take that kernel or gem of Truth that I will learn today, about myself or someone else, or perhaps about some situation that’s been bothering me, and let me learn from it and remember it.  And take it with me in my consciousness so that perhaps, just perhaps, today I will have grown a little stronger, a little wiser, a little more understanding or caring.  There is something in today for me to learn from.  Let me look for my lessons in everything.  In every situation and in every interchange with people, especially people I don’t particularly like or enjoy being around.  Remember, those are your greatest teachers, those people you don’t particularly like or enjoy being around.  Perhaps it’s to learn not to be like them.  Perhaps it’s to learn that you are like them, and you need to change.  Perhaps it’s just to grow in tolerance and love for another human being who is struggling like we all do from time to time.  Be at peace with all of Life, whatever you conceive her to be.  You’ve created it to learn from.  The people, situations, environment.  Look around you.

Our world has been created on the illusion of separation from God.  On the illusion of sin and shame.  On the illusion and subsequent reality of lies, deceit, condemnation and judgement of one another.  It is time to evolve to recognize the humanity, and God-consciousness, within us all.  Each time we feel compassion for another, brotherly love, empathy, it is a little more Light in our being.  May we grow and evolve until we are all Beings of Light immersed in Love and Light forever.

Humility is a huge lesson for many people, especially the rich and famous, the very intelligent or educated, the beautiful.  So many of us feel superior because of these gifts we have received, for our attributes are gifts from God to help us learn our lessons.  Others are here to help us learn patience, tolerance and compassion.  There is a reason for it all, and nothing is as it seems. 

It is time for women of integrity and experience to enter politics at all levels.  Women are more team-oriented, used to compromising and have a tendency to reach across the aisle to work with all sides on an issue.  They are intuitive and compassionate.  It is time for women to step up to the plate to help make a difference in our country and our world.  It is a marvelous time to be a woman of integrity.  And it is time to break the glass ceiling — all of them — for ourselves and our daughters.  And for posterity.

It is time for women to bond together to create greatness.  It is time for the pettiness of jealousies and envy to abate.  It is time for women to become all they can be, trusting in their God to lead them through their instincts, gut feelings, intuition and heart.  It is time for women to heal their lives to enable them to step into their personal power, quietly, perhaps, yet with authority.  And the Meek shall inherit the Earth, for there is power in Silence and Calm at one’s center, knowing without a shadow of a doubt one’s Divinity.  We are all Divine and we are all Blessed in God’s Love.  Forever and ever.     

Obesity is rampant in America.  Why is that?  Why are we subjecting ourselves to diabetes, joint problems, heart attacks and the loss of self-esteem?  Why are we allowing our children to become obese? 

There is a Life Force in raw, natural foods that our processed food doesn’t have.  Raw fruits and vegetables have an energy to help us stay vibrant and healthy.  I heard a nutritionist say years ago to eat nothing that won’t rot, spoil or mold — just eat it before it does.  If people would eat more fresh produce and deal with their emotional, compulsive eating, our citizens would be a lot healthier, happier and more productive.  Food is much more important than we realize.  No one can be healthy on the typical American diet.  Obesity and fast food go hand in hand and junk food is really that.  Why not make adjustments to really enjoy one’s life?  And eating well is part of that.

Obesity is a symptom that one is not taking care of oneself, body, mind, and spirit.  One is thin when one eats to live instead of lives to eat. 

God is not a religion.  God is a Supreme Presence, unseen, yet knowable.  God is the very essence of our being, our consciousness, whether we believe in God or not.

Some people spend their entire lives studying about Jesus or Mary Magdalene because they want to touch the Divine.  And the Divine is within. 

The great religions of the world were created in intellectual energy — the energy of rules, judgement, condemnation.  The energy of Spirituality is one of Love, Compassion, Acceptance — more appropriate, necessary and Divinely Guided for today. 

The Bible was written thousands of years ago at the consciousness level of Humanity.  Fear was the greatest motivator at that time.  People were unable to cope with the Truth that God is within.  Jesus created a paradigm shift for those able to accept that God is Love.

The Bible was written on many levels, history, wisdom, parables, allegory.  It tells the Story of Man as if in a play, with acts and scenes helping to lead one to Higher Awareness.  The story of Adam and Eve and the Creation is an allegory.  Adam represented the male and Eve the female.  And if one recognizes the symbolism of the Creation and the Seven Days, ever evolving upward, Eve was created last, a higher consciousness than man, the female energy ascendant.  God is Love, which is feminine energy.  God is not war and hatred and deceit, which can be symbolic of our male dominated world.  It is time to blend the masculine and feminine energies, as Christ portrayed.  Christ was androgynous, the perfect combining of the male and female energies, epitomized by His emotional strength, courage, love and forbearance.  Christ represented the epitome of what Humanity could become — 2000 years ahead of His time.

The consciousness of Humanity has evolved over the last two thousand years.  Know that Paul’s teachings, and those of others from so long ago, are no longer intended to lull women into submission and control by others.  The text of Paul’s letters is for love and service to the church and to all of mankind.  Yet seek not submission, one over the other, in anything but love and kindness.  For all are equal in the Sight of God.  Regardless of sex, color, creed or sexual orientation.  It is a new day.  It is the Dawn of Enlightenment.
